24 - THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE
24 has successfully run for two seasons receiving both critical acclaim and praise from viewers. Its unique presentation has introduced a fresh and gripping format to series viewing, allowing a single and woven plotline to be stretched out believably for the length of a season.

Season three looks set to be just as exciting as the last two. Premiering on the
Fox network in the States, on October 28th, it is set about three years after the end of season two. President Palmer survives the incident with Mandy, but only during the course of this season will the full effects of this incident be revealed. It looks, from the spoilers thus far, that the end of Season two was not just a cliffhanger, but also a significant lead-in to the major plot line of the upcoming Season three. Of course, I am only guessing here, but you never know. Especially when we find out that Jack is now working undercover with a drug and terrorist group trying to bring Salazar to justice, plus we also see a body infected with PNP (a biological agent) delivered to a hospital. So was that a blistering agent on President Palmer's hand or something more sinister? I guess we'll just have to wait to find out more.

A lot has happened in the three years since the nuclear threat on Los Angeles. Jack Bauer and Tony Almeida are now both in charge of CTU. Jack leads the field-ops side whilst Tony stays on-site, though he does see a lot of action at the beginning of Season three. For all you Tony/Michelle shippers out there, yes - they are together. Bad news for the Jack/Kate shippers, it looks like they drifted apart, though Marie's words regarding danger at the end of Season two might mean something for them both. At this time, I am unsure as to whether Marie makes an appearance. However, Kate, it seems, is likely to be a regular character. Two new characters are introduced - Chase, Jack's younger partner, and an Intelligence agent by the name of Nicole Duncan.

The 'Kimmy' storyline seemed to annoy a lot of people last season. Sorry folks, she is back - and working at CTU. A little birdie tells me, though, that she might not be as annoying as she has been. The only other fact I know is that Kimmy is dating Chase. I sense dilemmas ahead, though I hope her role is more integral to the main arc unlike her sub-plot during season two which seemed to detract, rather than compliment, the essence of the story.

So, whilst we know all this, Salazar's associates demand the release of Salazar or they will release PNP into the public domain. Never fear - CTU are here - and it's all in a day's work. Expect some surprises in the first episode. And it is also rumoured that it is to be shown commercial-free.
