Who were your childhood heroes? Let me see... mum and dad. I wanted to be an astronaut; James Bond - and a fireman.
What or who makes you laugh? Everything makes me laugh. I think that you have to laugh, life is ridiculous and if you take it seriously, you might as well give up. I love laughing and things that make me laugh. People should laugh more.
Any secret passions? Woah - they wouldn't be secret if I told you! I had a brief love-affair with gardening which I took up when I bought a house where the garden had never been finished, so I did this for a couple of years, it became quite obsessive and very expensive. I always thought gardening was a hobby that doesn't cost much, because things just grow, but I spent every weekend at the garden-centre, buying more plants and such, so that was a passion for a while, and I don't have a garden anymore, so I'm not gardening, and I have to find something new. Travelling and eating.
What does your ideal day look like? Right now, it would be on a beach, doing nothing for about a week and having people bring you lovely cocktails. Yeah, I like the days you don't know what's going to happen. Do you get the Mickey Mouse club here? A television show? A terrible American television show? Britney Spears started out there. They had "Anything can happen Friday", so that's the ideal day.
What do you consider the most attractive part of your body? Oh, there is not a lot after I only had about a half an hour sleep last night, so the whole thing is pretty yucky... I don't know!!! I wouldn't know! Little secret bit which you can't see... (We are having a wild guess here - The Eds)
If you could talk to the world for two minutes, everybody could hear and understand you, what would you tell them? Oh god ... (blushes) "Stop listening to me...?" (blushes some more) Very dangerous, I think, to give advice to the world...

He could be seen in "Hercules" and "Xena: Warrior Princess", he was Alistair Kingsley in "Mercy Peak" and Guy Warner in the soap "Shortland Street", but the popular New Zealand actor Craig Parker found recognition beyond the frontier of his home country as noble Elf "Haldir" in the first two "Lord of the Rings" movies. Haldir's tragic death secured immortality in the hearts of movie-goers worldwide and brought the likeable actor an ever-increasing number of fans all around the world. Craig was kind enough to snatch ten minutes to talk to The Ed. during RingCon in Bonn/Germany in November.
