NATHANIEL LEES ON IMDB
We all owe Nathaniel Lee's great-grandfather some gratitude. The merchant who had been to Samoa originally came from Germany, and if it hadn't been for his wish to see this country, we might never had the pleasure of meeting Nathaniel Lees, for he hates flying.

On Lord of the Rings, he was the Uruk'hai Uglúk, and spent daily a gruelling 3.5hrs in the make-up chair, only to find himself confronted with a stranger when he looked in the mirror afterwards.

"It is the strangest thing to see your face changing like this – you know it is still you, but you don't look like that!"

But as stressful and unpleasant the make-up and the prosthetics were – "this is part of the job. You can't escape."

There was less make-up involved in his portrayal of Captain Mifune on "The Matrix Revolutions", though he admits it was a little strange that he, who holds the black belt in Tae Kwan Doe and has worked as a stuntman, had to leave all the fighting to a machine. "Matrix was amazing. You were in your own video game."
